Allow yourself all the space and time you need to grow and expand

While reflecting on my career path with a colleague, I realized how difficult it was for me to accept and celebrate my eclectic and diverse experiences, my colorful curriculum. At moments I felt like I was sabotaging myself or I was disappointing the voices inside who told me that I had to decide, to be one thing, choose and commit.

In the last years I realized it was OK not to be one thing only, and that this way of thinking was only feeding my resistance to embrace my life as it is and surf the wave.

The image here marks an important point. At the end of an art therapy session (this time as a client) I said yes to the vastness, the incredible extent of my own life and our life as humans. I feel lucky I had this opportunity to allow myself this realization.

Through art therapy we may find resources, clarity, support. We get closer to the truth and learn how to dance with it.
